One of the major challenges of a branding project is to choose a logo designer. It’s not an easy job. You will have to consider numerous things while choosing a logo designer for your project. This guide will somewhat help you with that.
Things to consider choosing a logo designer
1. Experience
Experience is the first thing to consider while choosing a logo designer for your logo design project. Looking into the previous work of a designer will give you some idea about their skill level. But it does not mean that a new designer can not produce quality products. You never know whose work hits your mind.
2. Positive Feedback
Another thing you need to be in mind while choosing a logo designer is to look for the positive feedback they have gotten from past clients. Remember, you should check the validity of those feedbacks by visiting their web address or mailing them.
3. Design Process
Do they go through a specific process for designing a logo or do they just do it randomly like any other work? A logo design is not something that you just take away like a burger from the store. It should take time and appropriately research. There is not a specific time frame for that but the logo research should not take less than 48 hours.
4. Strong Portfolio
To choose a logo designer, you should definitely look for their portfolio. How strong it is and how many projects have been done for real clients. I mean, sometimes a designer creates designs for fictional companies just for practising purposes. So you will have to verify whether the work is fictional or real.
5. Price
How much does a logo design cost? This is the most frequently asked question and the most difficult one to answer. Because you can tell the fixed price for a logo design. It depends on the designer’s charges and the client’s budget and so many other things.
Usually, the price of service determines the quality of service but it’s not necessary here. Sometimes you get a perfect logo design while spending just a few bucks while sometimes you spend a lot but still do not get the desired result.
6. Great Customer Service
When you intend to spend money, you would obviously want your desired things offered with great customer service. Nobody likes to work with lazy and irritative logo designers. By lazy & irritative I mean those who are very slow at work and also do not respond to your emails on time. You should always choose a logo designer who is punctual and committed to work.
