The most offensive logo of 2021 | A logo is like a face of the brand. Companies invest a lot in it in to have the best logo design. Therefore nobody likes to hear something negative about their logo because it’s a kind of humiliation of their whole brand. But what if you receive a police complaint about your logo?
Yes, you read that write. The famous Indian Fashion website “Myntra” recently received an email from Mumbai Police’s Cybercrime Department, informing the company about the complaint.
The complaint was lodged by a lady named Naaz Patel who is the founder of an NGO called “Avesta Foundation”. In her complaint, she alleged that the company logo resembled a naked woman which was insulting and offensive towards women”. She demanded the removal of the logo and called for action to be taken against the company.
After receiving the complaint letter from the cyber crime department, the company agreed to change its logo within a month. Now Myntra has launched its new logo with a few subtle tweaks. The logo elements do not overlap like before and the colors are also no longer symmetrical.
We would say that the company did really well to reduce the effect with just a few subtle tweaks. Many people like us are appreciating the company for their efforts in this regard however others linked the original design to other famous logo fails.
